It is located in Praça Manuel Henriques Júnior, city and municipality of Pombal, District of Leiria, in the province of Beira Litoral, in the region of Central Portugal

The Teatro-Cine de Pombal was born in the first half of the 20th century following a devastating cyclone that was responsible for the collapse of a theater built in wood.

A group of citizens decided to form a company with the purpose of building a cinema theater and several projects carried out between 1938 and 1948 by the architects Camilo and Ernesto Korrodi proceeded with its construction in the current Comendador Manuel Henriques Júnior square, taking advantage of an existing block factory there.

Inside, the construction work integrated the official language of decor and furniture from the 40s, a facade that is executed in sober art-deco, which led to the absence of noble materials and constant friction between the different types of traditional/modern construction.

The Teatro-Cine de Pombal has a significant value, being part of the collective memory of the city of Pombal, the glory of the shows that marked generations over the years.

The reconstruction of the Teatro-Cine de Pombal by Pombal City Council, which opened on March 19, 2002, preserving the architecture of the facade and providing the theater with the necessary technical conditions for current and future demands and specifications with comfort and safety.

The Pombal Cinema Theater was built in 1948 and underwent extensive renovations in 2002, where various shows and cinema sessions take place.

The Teatro Cine de Pombal consists of a main room with 124 seats, a mini auditorium with 150 seats where spectators can watch cinema, theater, listen to music, dance pieces, conferences and exhibitions, amateur theater and various shows.
