Located in the parish of Glória, municipality of Aveiro, central Portugal

Jardim do Rossio is a park located in the center of the city of Aveiro on the southwestern edge of the Beira Mar neighborhood. Due to its central location next to the Central and Pirâmides canals, it is one of the main tourist sites in the city, with several docks on its banks from where it is possible to take moliceiro rides.

In this place for many years, its natural border with the Ria de Aveiro was demarcated with a line of palm trees of which only a small number survived due to palm beetle infestations.

The requalification of this space, announced by Aveiro City Council, has been the target of opposition from a large number of citizens, namely, as it involves the creation of an underground parking lot and a consequent reduction in green space.

Jardim do Rossio is made up of a green, tree-lined area, a children's playground, a small amphitheater and a sidewalk, where a removable stage is often set up for celebrations of festive events, such as New Year's Eve or the Festas in Honor of São Gonçalinho.

Over the years, various events have been held in this space, such as the March Fair, craft fairs, book fairs, exhibition fairs, etc.

The Garden is a green space next to the Ria, which is in the most touristic area of the city, a great place to watch moliceiros with tourists on board strolling through the Ria canals, there are some benches for us to sit on and there is a free car park nearby.
