Cascata do Arado is located on the Arado river, about 3km from the village of Ermida and about 8km from Vila do Gerês, north Portugal
The waterfall is located at an altitude of around 900 meters, creating a succession of unique waterfalls among the rocks.
Access to this waterfall is possible by car, however, the last kilometer is done via a dirt path to the bridge over the Arado river. From here it is necessary to climb the stone steps that take us to a small viewpoint at the top of which it is possible to admire the waterfall.
Bathing in this waterfall is not recommended, as it is considered a place susceptible to serious accidents, due to the floors being slippery and uneven.
