Avenida Nossa Senhora do Sameiro, in Braga

The Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Sameiro is located outside in front of the Basilica on Avenida Nossa Senhora do Sameiro, parish of Espinho, city of Braga, northern Portugal.

In this small chapel painted white, we find on top of a marble stone the image of Our Lady of Sameiro with a blue cloak, on her head she has a Crown, at her feet she is surrounded by angels' heads and behind her she has a glass letting in light. At the bottom of the stone there is a box where devotees can donate their offerings or leave bouquets of flowers.

The floor appears covered in white tiles, and in the center a stone corridor with a variable grain texture that extends to the marble stone where the image of Nossa Senhora do Sameiro stands, above. On the sides there are benches where the faithful can say their prayers to fulfill their requests or give thanks for graces granted.

On the ceiling, the image of Our Lady is surrounded by a small golden dome highlighting her image with one hand on her chest and the other facing upwards pointing towards Heaven.

Outside, the walls are painted white, three windows and the door are made of glass and an inscription stands out: “O Lady, Oh My Mother I Consecrate To You”.
