Located at the end of Alameda do Casino do Estoril, district of Lisbon, Central Portugal

Tamariz Beach, located in front of the Casino Estoril garden behind the Estoril train station and the tourist office (190 meters wide) is easily accessible by train, car or good pedestrian access.

Praia do Tamariz located at the end of Alameda do Casino do Estoril was once known as Praia Elegante, frequented by high society who spent their summers along the Estoril line.

Currently, it is one of the most popular beaches in this area as it is very central and located next to the train line.

On the east side there is a wall and the Tamariz ocean pool consisting of a basic pool of salt water that is warmer than the sea and often contains crabs and fish caught when the tide goes out and loved by children.

The beach has an ocean pool near the sea wall and is equipped with changing rooms, showers, parasols, awnings and pedal boats for rent.

The beach has soft, golden sand, clear sea water, free from any waves or currents, which makes it ideal for children, has parking available nearby, lifeguard supervision throughout the bathing season and is quite busy during the summer months.

In this location is the 17th century Forte da Cruz, but it was transformed by the Portuguese nobility in the 19th century into a luxury villa, but today the building is used as a wedding venue.

Visitors can find a promenade known as Cascais Paredão that leaves Tamariz beach and follows the coast for 1.7 km to Cascais, the route passes by the many small beaches in the region if you want to get to know the area better and go for a walk.

The train station is just 50m from Tamariz beach, and the train service connects Lisbon to Cascais, and the train leaves from Cais do Sodré in Lisbon.

Praia, being located next to the train station and bus terminal, is one of the favorite destinations for those using public transport.

Tamariz Beach is centrally located in Estoril in front of the Jardim do Estoril park and the Estoril Casino.

The beach has a coastline of 380m with the best sand to the east, to the west there are large submerged rocks along the waterline and are great for accumulating rocks.

Tamariz beach is the most cosmopolitan in the municipality of Cascais, separated from the Casino Estoril gardens by the Estrada Marginal and the train line, it is one of the region's tourist attractions, bringing together several bars and clubs.
