The São Jorge Natural Park is a nature conservation structure that covers protected areas located on the island of São Jorge, such as: Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo, Lagoa de Santo Cristo, Ilhéu do Topo, O Parque Florestal das Sete Fontes, Pico do Areeiro, Pico das Caldeirinhas, Pico do Carvão, Pico da Esperança, Parque Florestal da Silveira, Ilhéu do Topo and the Adjacent Coast.

Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo is a fajã located in the parish of Ribeira Seca, municipality of Calheta, island of São Jorge, Azores archipelago, it was classified as a Natural Reserve because of the existence of clams in its lagoon by the Regional Government of the Azores (1984).

In this fajã there is the beautiful Church of Santo Cristo whose patron is Senhor Santo Cristo, it was blessed on November 10, 1835 and became a place of worship attended by devotees from all over the island.

In this place you can observe different birds, whether passing by or residents: the shearwater, the pink tern and the common tern nest. It is also considered a sanctuary for bodyboarding and surfing and is sought after by practitioners of the sport from all over the world.

Topo islet is an islet with approximately 20 ha (200,000 m2) in area, a short distance from the coast of the village of Topo, in the extreme southeast of the island of São Jorge, Azores.

The islet is part of the Special Protection Zone of Ilhéu do Topo and Adjacent Coast, a legally protected area due to its richness in marine birdlife.

Several colonies of seabirds nest on the islet: roseate tern, common tern, angelite tern and shearwater, and it became a protected area for the management of habitats or species.

The Sete Fontes Forest Park is a Portuguese forest park with around 50 ha located in the parish of Rosais, on the Ponta Nordeste of the island, in the municipality of Velas, São Jorge island, Azores archipelago.

The park was successively expanded and improved with the planting of several species introduced from Macaronesia, to the point of receiving the classification of Recreational Forest Reserve in 1989.

In this place there are several springs and streams, dense plant species such as cryptomerias, hydrangeas, conteira, fuchsia, climbing plants, azaleas and tree ferns.

Pico do Areeiro is a geological accident that is located near Norte Grande (municipality of Velas) related to the central mountainous massif of the island of São Jorge of which it is part. It is located between the highest elevation of the island of São Jorge, Pico da Esperança and Pico das Brenhas.

Pico das Caldeirinhas is a Portuguese elevation of volcanic origin located in the interior of the Azorean island of Terceira, Azores archipelago.

Pico do Carvão is a Portuguese elevation of volcanic origin located on the island of São Miguel, with its highest point at 813 meters above sea level.

This geological formation is located in the Massif das Sete Cidades and its surroundings are populated by several lagoons: Lagoa do Carvão, Lagoa do Caldeirão Grande, Lagoa do Peixe, Lagoa das Achadas and Lagoa das Éguas, two peaks, Boi and Éguas.

Pico da Esperança is a volcanic mountain located in the parish of Norte Grande, municipality of Velas, island of São Jorge, owes its origin to a volcano located in the mountain range that forms the central mountain range of the island of São Jorge and is the highest mountain on this island, rising to 1053 meters in altitude.

This elevation, which is the highest on the island, allows you to see a landscape that stretches for hundreds of kilometers around it: the island of Faial, the island of Pico on the south-facing slopes, and the Terceira island and the Graciosa island on the north-facing slope.

Along the central mountain range, Pico do Montoso and the Grutas do Algar do Montoso stand out.

The Silveira Forest Park is a Portuguese forest park located in the parish of Ribeira Seca, municipality of Calheta.

This park is classified as a Recreational Forest Reserve (1989), along with the watercourse, there are watermills spread along the various water lines.

In this space you will find varied vegetation: araucaria, pines, tulip trees, oaks, cypresses, tree ferns, plane trees, metrosideros and other smaller plants.
